Key Advantages and Drawbacks

BitOasis’s published terms for the first quarter of 2026 set out where this regional platform is strong and where it is weak. The comparison below is framed around an illustrative starting balance of 2,000 dirhams funded by local bank transfer, purchases of Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana, the two interfaces BitOasis Lite and BitOasis Pro, and the published support channels. The short summary comes first, before the detail.

Advantages

  • The first licensed cryptocurrency platform in the Middle East and North Africa, holding a full VASP licence from VARA in Dubai, issued in December 2024
  • Deposits and withdrawals in dirhams directly by local bank transfer, with no fee charged by the platform
  • The BitOasis Lite interface is simple and easy for beginners, with 0% trading fees on direct buy and sell orders
  • A dedicated OTC desk for clients dealing in large size, above 100,000 dollars
  • Service available in more than 15 countries across the Arab region
  • Arabic-language support on the website and in the app

Drawbacks

  • The range of cryptocurrencies is limited, at around 60 coins, next to global platforms such as Binance, which list hundreds
  • Card deposit fees are very high (3.99%) next to competitors
  • Trading fees on BitOasis Pro run far above the global platforms (0.25% maker and 0.50% taker, against 0.10% at Binance)
  • A low score on Trustpilot, 2.6 out of 5, with recurring complaints about slow identity verification and customer service
  • No derivatives, no margin trading and no leverage
  • The parent company CoinDCX suffered a breach of 44 million dollars in July 2025, although BitOasis client funds were not affected

Taken as a whole, BitOasis suits investors in the UAE and the Gulf looking for a straightforward, regulated way to buy cryptocurrencies in dirhams. It may not be the better option for active traders who need low fees and a wide choice of coins. For other options, see the broker reviews index.

Company Information

BitOasis was founded in 2016 by Ola Doudin, Tareq Kilani and Daniel Robenek, with its head office in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. The legal name is BitOasis Technologies FZE, and it operates from the Dubai technology free zone. Since launch the platform has established itself as the first regulated cryptocurrency exchange in the Middle East and North Africa.

As published in February 2026, BitOasis had handled more than 6 billion dollars of cumulative trading volume since it was founded, and had raised more than 40 million dollars across funding rounds from regional and international investors. In July 2024 the Indian firm CoinDCX, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in India, acquired BitOasis outright in a transaction described as the first of its kind in the region. After the acquisition BitOasis kept its own brand and Ola Doudin continued to run day-to-day operations.

The platform serves more than 15 countries in the region, among them the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Jordan, Egypt, Morocco, Iraq, Lebanon, Tunisia, Algeria and Libya. That regional reach sets it apart from many global platforms, which may not accept clients from some of these countries.

Is BitOasis a scam? The question recurs in Arabic search engines, and on the public record the answer is no. The platform holds a full VASP licence from VARA in Dubai, one of the stricter digital-asset regimes anywhere, and has operated since 2016 with no incident of client funds being stolen. That does not make it free of problems. There are genuine complaints about slow customer service and delayed identity verification, and both are examined in detail below. For the fraud patterns common in cryptocurrency markets, this guide to avoiding scam operators is worth reading.

Why Investors Might Choose BitOasis

Several factors set BitOasis apart from the other cryptocurrency platforms available in the region. None of them makes it the right platform for everyone, but together they make it worth considering for particular kinds of investor.

Local infrastructure: the most distinctive thing about BitOasis is that it is a regional platform built specifically for the Middle East and North Africa market. Deposits in dirhams by local bank transfer are published as reaching the account within one business day, with no fee from the platform. That is structurally different from a global platform, where a local currency usually has to be converted into dollars or euros first, with conversion charges attached.

Local regulatory compliance: BitOasis is one of very few platforms holding a full VASP licence from VARA in Dubai. That places it under strict local supervision covering anti-money-laundering and know-your-customer requirements, and rules on how client assets are held. For an investor in the UAE who wants to stay entirely within local legal frameworks, that counts.

Simplicity for beginners: the BitOasis Lite interface is built for new investors who want to buy cryptocurrency by the simplest route available. Lite requires no technical knowledge: a coin is selected, an amount entered, and the purchase completed in a single step. For anyone starting out on the basics of digital investing, that simplicity can help.

The OTC desk for large sizes: BitOasis offers off-exchange trading (OTC) to institutional clients and high-net-worth individuals, with a minimum of 100,000 dollars per transaction. It provides bespoke pricing and direct execution without moving the market price, with dedicated cover from a specialist team.

Withdrawals in local currency: proceeds can be withdrawn in dirhams directly to a local bank account in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain, which removes any need to deal with currency brokers or external payment gateways.

Licensing and Regulation

The BitOasis licence appears on the VARA public register in Dubai, and the entry there as at February 2026 confirms the detail. The regulatory path for this platform has not been entirely smooth, and that history matters to any prospective investor.

The VARA Dubai licence: BitOasis obtained a full virtual asset service provider (VASP) licence from the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority in Dubai (VARA) on 9 December 2024. The reference licence number is VL/2024/11/001 and the permitted activity is broker-dealer services (Broker-Dealer Services). The licence can be looked up directly on the VARA public register online.

Regulatory history: BitOasis was among the first platforms to receive a provisional operating permit from VARA after the authority was established in 2022. In July 2023, however, VARA suspended the conditional licence because BitOasis had not met the specified conditions within the required timeframe. After a period of remediation, and following the CoinDCX acquisition in July 2024, the platform secured the full licence in December 2024.

BitOasis had also obtained approval from the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) in Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) in April 2021, through the entity Blex Financial Ltd. That licence was later withdrawn and is no longer in force.

RegulatorLegal entityLicence numberStatusPermitted activity
VARA DubaiBitOasis Technologies FZEVL/2024/11/001In force (full licence)Broker-dealer services
FSRA / ADGM Abu DhabiBlex Financial LtdNot availableWithdrawnNot in force

Is BitOasis actually licensed? Yes. It currently holds a full VASP licence from VARA in Dubai. That can be confirmed by opening the VARA public register on the authority’s own site and searching for BitOasis Technologies FZE. It is worth stating plainly, though, that the suspension of the provisional licence in 2023 was a negative signal and belongs in any assessment of the platform, even though the position was corrected later.

What does the VARA licence mean in practice? It means BitOasis is bound to comply with a strict set of requirements: segregating client assets from company assets, applying anti-money-laundering and know-your-customer procedures, keeping audited financial records, and reporting periodically to the authority. The VARA regime in Dubai ranks among the more developed and demanding digital-asset frameworks anywhere. For more on why licensing matters in the trading industry, and how to verify it, this guide goes into detail.

Opening an Account and Verification

On the account-opening terms published in February 2026, initial registration is easy and direct, while identity verification (KYC) is the real obstacle and can take considerable time. The point is worth flagging, because it is among the most frequent complaints on Trustpilot and in user forums.

Initial registration takes under 3 minutes through the website: an email address, a phone number, a country of residence and a password. Once the email address and phone number are confirmed, the account is created immediately.

Identity verification takes a different course. BitOasis supports three verification levels (Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3) with rising deposit and withdrawal limits. The first level requires citizenship details, an image of a government identity document, a photograph of the holder, a residential address and a source of funds. Once the first level is complete, deposits and withdrawals of up to 50,000 dirhams a week are permitted.

First-level verification is where the delay sits. It runs slower than at Binance, where the process usually completes within hours. Some users on Trustpilot report waiting weeks for approval, with repeated requests for the same documents, and that is a clear weakness in the user experience.

The higher verification levels (Tier 2 and Tier 3) carry larger deposit and withdrawal limits and call for further documents. The third level allows custom monthly limits to be set to suit the account holder.

The account-opening steps in brief:

  • Go to bitoasis.net and register with an email address and a phone number
  • Confirm the email address and the phone number with the verification code
  • Upload first-level verification documents (government identity, a photograph of the holder, proof of address and source of funds)
  • Wait for approval (a day to several business days)
  • Deposit, and begin buying cryptocurrencies

Readers coming to digital investing for the first time may want the general picture first: this guide to opening a trading account walks through the sequence.

Account Types and Trading Platforms

BitOasis takes a different approach from a traditional forex broker in how accounts are structured. Rather than several account types with different spreads and leverage, the platform offers two tiers of trading interface, both reachable by any registered user from the same account.

BitOasis Lite: this interface is built for absolute simplicity. It works as a direct buy-and-sell screen: a cryptocurrency is chosen, an amount in dirhams is entered, and the order goes through in a single step. There is no order book, no advanced charting and no pending orders. The advertised fee on BitOasis Lite is 0% commission, but the gap between the buy price and the sell price — the spread — is the real cost. On published quotes that spread runs between 0.5% and 1.5%, depending on the coin, the size and market conditions.

BitOasis Pro: the advanced trading platform, with a full order book, interactive charts, price-limited orders (Limit Orders) and market orders (Market Orders). It runs on a maker/taker fee model (Maker/Taker). BitOasis Pro lists more than 200 trading pairs and shows market depth and trade history.

A note on Islamic accounts: BitOasis is a spot cryptocurrency platform (Spot Trading) and offers no derivatives, no margin trading and no leverage. That means there is no concept of a “swap” or “overnight interest”, because the coin itself is owned outright rather than a derivative contract over it. Whether cryptocurrency trading is permissible under Islamic law sits outside the scope of this review, but the absence of derivatives and leverage removes one of the main religious objections attached to conventional forex trading.

Fees and Trading Costs

Trading costs are among the factors that most affect an investor’s returns over the long run. The section below sets the various fees BitOasis publishes against three leading global platforms: Binance, Coinbase and OKX.

Trading Fees

On the published fee schedules, BitOasis charges noticeably more than the large global platforms. On BitOasis Pro the base fees are 0.25% maker (Maker) and 0.50% taker (Taker). At those rates a purchase of 10,000 dirhams through a market order (Taker) carries 50 dirhams in trading fees. The same order on Binance would carry 10 dirhams at 0.10%.

PlatformMaker fee (Maker)Taker fee (Taker)Volume discount
BitOasis Pro0.25%0.50%Not available
Binance0.10%0.10%Available (to 0.012% maker)
OKX0.08%0.10%Available (to -0.005% maker)
Coinbase Advanced0.60%0.40%Available at higher trading volume

As the table shows, BitOasis Pro fees run well above Binance and OKX, by a wide margin. Only Coinbase charges comparable or higher fees at the base tier. The large global platforms also publish tiered volume discounts for active traders, and no equivalent discount schedule appears in the published BitOasis terms.

Deposit Fees

The deposit fees published for each route are as follows:

Deposit methodFeesProcessing timeNotes
Local bank transfer (AED)Free1-2 business daysThe cheapest route on cost
BOLT service (instant deposit)Up to 1%InstantFaster, but not free
Credit/debit card3.99%InstantVery high; best avoided
Apple Pay3.99%InstantSame as the card fee
Cryptocurrency depositFree (network fees only)Depends on the networkTransfer from an external wallet

The card deposit fee of 3.99% is very high. A deposit of 5,000 dirhams by card carries roughly 200 dirhams in deposit fees before any trading begins. A local bank transfer, by contrast, is entirely free, and on cost it is the route to take.

Withdrawal Fees

Withdrawing dirhams to a bank account carries a flat fee of just 10 dirhams. Cryptocurrency withdrawals are subject to network fees (Blockchain fees), which vary by coin and with the state of the network: of the order of 5 dollars for Bitcoin, and under a dollar for USDT sent over the Tron network (TRC-20).

Inactivity Fees

Neither the terms of service nor the website mentions any charge for inactivity. That is a positive for long-term investors who buy coins and hold them over extended periods.

Fees Overall

The BitOasis fee structure is reasonable for local investors who deposit by bank transfer and buy through Lite for the long term. For active traders the fees sit well above global competitors. Anyone intending to trade large sums frequently may find global platforms such as Coinbase or Binance better value on total cost.

Desktop Trading Platforms

BitOasis runs entirely in the browser and offers no downloadable desktop application. That differs from traditional forex brokers, which supply downloadable MetaTrader platforms. There is also no application programming interface (API) available to retail traders, which limits any scope for automated trading.

BitOasis Lite in the browser: a simple, clean interface listing the available cryptocurrencies with direct buying and selling. It carries no technical analysis tools and no advanced charting. Page load speed and interface responsiveness are not assessed here. The design suits beginners who have no need of complex trading tools.

BitOasis Pro in the browser: Pro provides a more advanced trading experience, with interactive charts, a live order book and detailed trade history. Price-limited orders (Limit), market orders (Market) and stop orders (Stop) can all be placed. The Pro interface is customisable to a degree and displays useful information on market depth and volume.

Set against platforms such as Binance or OKX, which supply professional charting tools, hundreds of technical indicators and automated trading through an API, BitOasis Pro remains limited in what it can do. An active trader who leans on advanced technical analysis may find it insufficient. For what the main trading platforms do well and badly, this comparison covers the ground.

Mobile Trading Apps

For investing from a phone, BitOasis offers a single app that combines the functions of Lite and Pro. Its store listing as at February 2026 covers Android, and several points about it are worth setting out.

The app is available on both Google Play and App Store. On the Google Play store it carries an overall score of about 3.5 out of 5 stars across thousands of ratings. The positive reviews praise ease of use and the simplicity of the buying screen, while the negative ones point to problems with identity verification and slow technical support.

The app interface is clean and simple to navigate. It supports Arabic, and it allows coins to be bought and sold, the portfolio managed, prices tracked, and deposits and withdrawals made directly from the phone. Load performance on the BitOasis Pro screen, particularly when charts render, is not assessed here.

Cryptocurrencies Available

BitOasis lists more than 60 cryptocurrencies for trading across more than 200 trading pairs on the Pro platform. The published listing breaks the coins out by category.

CategoryExamplesNotes
Major coinsBitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), XRP, Cardano (ADA)Good liquidity and a relatively narrow spread
StablecoinsTether (USDT), USD Coin (USDC), DAIUseful as a holding place inside the platform
DeFi coinsUniswap (UNI), Aave (AAVE), Chainlink (LINK), Sushiswap (SUSHI)A middling selection
Layer-one coinsPolkadot (DOT), Cosmos (ATOM), Near Protocol (NEAR), Fantom (FTM)Reasonable coverage
Meme coinsDogecoin (DOGE), Shiba Inu (SHIB)Very limited
Other coinsLitecoin (LTC), Tron (TRX), IOTA, Filecoin (FIL), Gala (GALA), Axie Infinity (AXS)Acceptable variety

Set against the global platforms, the number of coins on BitOasis is limited. Binance lists more than 600 cryptocurrencies, and OKX more than 300 coins. Newly issued or emerging coins will often not appear on BitOasis until they have established themselves in the market. For investors focused on the major coins such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana, the selection is sufficient. Anyone looking for early exposure to new projects will find the platform limited.

One point matters here: every coin on BitOasis is available for spot trading (Spot) only. There are no futures (Futures), no options (Options) and no derivatives of any kind on cryptocurrencies. That narrows the options for advanced traders who want to hedge or to take leveraged positions.

Order Execution

Execution differs between the two interfaces, BitOasis Lite and BitOasis Pro. On Lite, execution is immediate: the platform quotes a fixed price valid for a short window, usually 10-15 seconds, and fills at the price shown. Rejection is not a feature of that model, since Lite either fills at the quoted price or the quote lapses.

On Pro the position is different. Market orders (Market Orders) fill at whatever price the order book offers. The Bitcoin/AED and Ethereum/AED pairs carry the deepest books on the platform. On the less liquid pairs, slippage (Slippage) can be material on larger orders, because market depth is thinner than on the global platforms.

Limit orders behave as expected and fill once the price reaches the level set. A Limit order to buy Ethereum below the prevailing market rests in the book until the market trades there, and expires unfilled if it does not.

The essential point here is that BitOasis is a spot exchange (Spot Exchange) and not a contracts-for-difference broker. The coin is bought and owned outright, and order execution depends on the liquidity in the platform’s own order book rather than on external liquidity providers, as it would with a forex broker.

Deposit Methods

BitOasis offers several deposit routes, concentrated on the UAE market with some options for the other Gulf countries. Local bank transfer is published as carrying no charge at all from BitOasis’s side.

Deposit methodCurrencyFeesProcessing timeCountries
Local bank transferAEDFree1-2 business daysUAE
BOLT (instant deposit)AEDUp to 1%InstantUAE
Credit/debit cardAED3.99%InstantMost supported countries
Apple PayAED3.99%InstantUAE
Cryptocurrency transferBTC, ETH, USDT and othersFree (network fees only)Subject to network confirmationsAll countries

The most important point is that depositing in local currency (AED) is free only by bank transfer. Every other route carries a fee, and some of those fees are steep. The 3.99% card charge sits far above what platforms such as Binance apply (around 1.8%). Local bank transfer is the route that avoids the charge altogether.

For investors outside the UAE, in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait or Bahrain, the local-currency deposit options are narrower. International bank transfer is available but can take longer and carries transfer fees from the sending bank. The alternative is depositing cryptocurrency directly from an external wallet.

Withdrawal Methods

Withdrawal routes at BitOasis cover dirham withdrawals to a local bank account and cryptocurrency withdrawals to external wallets. Full identity verification has to be complete before any withdrawal can be made.

Can money be withdrawn from BitOasis, and what about the withdrawal problems? These are among the most frequent questions in Arabic search engines about this platform. On the terms published for the first quarter of 2026, a dirham withdrawal to a bank account carries a fee of 10 dirhams, and a USDT withdrawal over the Tron network carries only the network fee. Whether an individual withdrawal clears on schedule is not assessed here; the complaints on record are dealt with below.

Withdrawal methodFeesProcessing timeCountries
Bank transfer (AED)10 dirhams1-3 business daysUAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain
Bitcoin withdrawal (BTC)Variable network fee10-60 minutesAll countries
USDT withdrawal (TRC-20)About 1 dollarUnder 5 minutesAll countries
Ethereum withdrawal (ETH)Variable network fee5-15 minutesAll countries

The complaints on Trustpilot about withdrawal problems relate mostly to cases where identity verification had not been completed, or where withdrawals were suspended temporarily for “compliance checks” with no stated timeframe. That is a concerning point, because some users report withdrawals being blocked once their balance reached a large sum, with no adequate explanation from the platform. Completing every verification level before depositing large amounts is the sensible course.

Customer Support

Several support channels were published as at February 2026. What each one covers is set out below; response speed and the quality of replies are not assessed here.

WhatsApp: a WhatsApp channel is published for support enquiries. An automated acknowledgement arrives first, asking for details of the problem, and a human agent then picks the conversation up. Users report replies coming in English even where the enquiry was written in Arabic. Queue times are not assessed here.

Email ([email protected]): written enquiries go to the published support address, and an automated acknowledgement confirms receipt. No target response time is published for email, and reply times are not assessed here.

Live chat: some reports indicate that BitOasis removed the live chat option from its site at an earlier point, which many users regarded as a step backwards.

ChannelAvailabilityArabicResponse time (unverified)
WhatsAppAvailable (operating hours not clearly stated)Not guaranteed (replies often in English)30 minutes to 3 hours
Email24/7 (acknowledgement)Replies often in English12-24 hours
Support ticketsThrough the help centreIn English24-48 hours
TelephoneNot availableNot availableNot available

Customer service quality at BitOasis is a clear weak point next to competitors. Binance provides live chat with replies inside minutes in several languages, Arabic among them. The absence of phone support, the slow turnaround by email and WhatsApp, and replies in English on a platform serving an Arabic-speaking audience all need substantial improvement.

Research and Educational Material

The educational material BitOasis publishes is very limited next to what the large global platforms provide.

The BitOasis blog: the platform publishes articles on its official blog covering market news, platform updates and basic educational pieces on cryptocurrencies. Some of the content is available in Arabic. As at February 2026 the publishing schedule was irregular and the material tended towards the general.

The help centre: it holds explanatory articles on using the platform, on verification procedures and on deposit and withdrawal routes. Most of the content is in English. These articles are technical and aimed at solving problems rather than at teaching.

Analysis and research: BitOasis publishes no daily or weekly market analysis and no research reports on cryptocurrencies. That differs from Binance, which runs Binance Research with in-depth reports, and from Coinbase, which runs Coinbase Learn with a broad educational library.

Overall, anyone looking for a thorough grounding in the basics of investing and trading will need to lean on outside sources, because what BitOasis provides is not enough to build a solid base of knowledge on.

Client Money Safeguards

Safety of funds in cryptocurrency works in a fundamentally different way from safety of funds with a traditional forex broker. There is no state compensation fund and no negative balance protection of the kind that comes with conventional financial regulators. On the security policies BitOasis published as at February 2026, several layers of protection sit alongside some concerns that are worth flagging.

Cold storage (Cold Storage): BitOasis states that the majority of client digital assets sit in cold wallets, disconnected from the internet, which is the industry standard for holding digital assets out of reach of an intrusion. Only a small proportion stays in hot, connected wallets to service day-to-day withdrawals.

Two-factor authentication (2FA): the platform supports two-factor authentication by text message (SMS) or through one-time password apps (TOTP) such as Google Authenticator. TOTP is the safer of the two, because it resists SIM-swap attacks (SIM Swap) in a way SMS does not.

Encryption and monitoring: BitOasis uses encryption protocols for user data and communications, and monitors accounts continuously for suspicious activity. The platform also runs a vulnerability disclosure programme (Bug Bounty) through YesWeHack.

An earlier security incident: in 2019, BitOasis suffered a security breach in which attackers reached personal data belonging to more than 270,000 users, including email addresses, names and phone numbers. The company confirmed that no funds were stolen in the breach. The incident happened years ago, but it is a point an investor should know about.

The CoinDCX parent-company breach: in July 2025, CoinDCX, the parent company of BitOasis, suffered a major breach in which roughly 44 million dollars was lost from its operating wallets. The company confirmed that client funds were unaffected and that the loss was absorbed from company reserves. BitOasis operations were not directly affected, but the incident raises legitimate questions about the security architecture of the group as a whole.

Asset segregation: under the VARA licence requirements, BitOasis is obliged to keep client assets separate from company operating assets. In principle that means client assets stay apart from the firm’s own if it runs into financial difficulty. There is, however, no state compensation fund equivalent to the arrangements that sit behind authorities such as the British FCA, or the Cypriot CySEC with its Investor Compensation Fund (ICF).

In summary on safety of funds: BitOasis applies reasonable security standards, among them cold storage, two-factor authentication and a vulnerability disclosure programme. The data breach in 2019 and the parent-company breach in 2025 both belong in the assessment. Holding large sums on any trading platform for long periods is inadvisable, and a Hardware Wallet is the appropriate place for assets not intended for near-term trading. For more on checking the security of trading platforms, this guide goes into detail.

Conclusion

On its published terms for the first quarter of 2026, BitOasis reads as a legitimate and regulated cryptocurrency platform that offers real value to investors in the UAE and the Gulf who want a local, regulated route into the cryptocurrency market. It also carries fundamental drawbacks that make it unsuitable for broad categories of trader.

Who BitOasis suits:

  • Investors in the UAE who want to buy cryptocurrencies in dirhams through a platform licensed locally by VARA
  • Beginners who prefer a simple interface (BitOasis Lite) for buying and holding the major coins
  • Institutional investors and those dealing in large size who need an OTC service in dirhams
  • Anyone who puts local regulatory compliance ahead of cost and choice

Who it may not suit:

  • Active traders looking for low fees and advanced trading tools
  • Anyone wanting a wide choice of cryptocurrencies, or access to derivatives and leverage
  • Anyone who needs fast technical support reliably available in Arabic
  • Traders outside the UAE, where local-currency deposit and withdrawal options are limited

Common concerns addressed:

On the question “is BitOasis a scam or a fraud?”, which recurs in Arabic search: on the licence record, no. The platform holds a full VASP licence from VARA in Dubai, has operated since 2016 and has lost no client funds in a breach. That does not make the experience faultless. Slow customer service, delayed identity verification, and trading fees above the global competition are real problems that many users run into.

On “BitOasis withdrawal problems” — the recurring reports on Trustpilot of withdrawals suspended for vague “compliance checks” deserve attention. Completing every verification level before depositing large sums is the sensible precaution.

On the question “is BitOasis permissible under Islamic law?” — that is a religious question and sits outside the scope of a financial review. The platform offers spot trading only, meaning real purchases and sales of coins, with no leverage, no derivatives and no overnight interest, which may be less problematic than conventional contracts-for-difference trading. The religious ruling on cryptocurrency trading itself is a contested matter, and a trusted religious authority is the place to take it.

A closing view: a locally regulated platform that meets a real need in the UAE and Gulf market, though high fees, weak customer service and a limited toolset leave it less competitive than the global alternatives. Comparing it against other platforms on the broker reviews page is worth doing before deciding.

Frequently Asked Questions about BitOasis

Is BitOasis licensed and reliable?

Yes. BitOasis holds a full VASP licence from the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority in Dubai (VARA) under reference number VL/2024/11/001, issued in December 2024. The licence can be checked directly on the VARA public register. The platform has operated since 2016 and has lost no client funds in a breach.

What are the trading fees at BitOasis?

On BitOasis Lite there is no advertised commission, but the cost is built into the spread, the gap between the buy price and the sell price, which runs between 0.5% and 1.5%. On BitOasis Pro the fees are 0.25% maker (Maker) and 0.50% taker (Taker). Those rates sit above global platforms such as Binance (0.10%) and OKX (0.08% maker / 0.10% taker).

Can deposits be made in dirhams at BitOasis?

Yes. Deposits in dirhams can be made by local bank transfer (free), through the instant BOLT service (up to 1%), by credit or debit card (3.99%) or with Apple Pay (3.99%). Bank transfer is the route that avoids the high card charges.

How many cryptocurrencies are available on BitOasis?

More than 60 cryptocurrencies are available, among them Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, Cardano, Polkadot and Dogecoin, along with stablecoins such as USDT and USDC. The count is far below Binance, which lists 600+ coins, but it covers most of the major and widely held ones.

Is BitOasis available in Saudi Arabia?

Yes. BitOasis is available in Saudi Arabia, and Saudi users can register and complete identity verification. Deposit options in Saudi riyals are narrower than in dirhams. Withdrawal to a Saudi bank account is available, but by international bank transfer, which can take longer.

What is the difference between BitOasis Lite and BitOasis Pro?

BitOasis Lite is a simple interface for direct buying and selling with no advertised commission, the cost sitting in the spread, and it suits beginners. BitOasis Pro is an advanced trading platform with an order book, charts and several order types, priced at 0.25% maker and 0.50% taker, and it suits active traders. Both are reachable from the same account.
