Key Advantages and Drawbacks

OctaFX, renamed Octa after a rebrand, documents its own terms in enough detail for the strengths and weaknesses below to be set out from primary sources: the account terms, the spread schedule and the regulators’ public registers as they stood in 2026. Accounts run on MT5 and on the broker’s own OctaTrader platform, copy trading is advertised as a standard feature, and Arabic is listed among the languages the support desk handles. None of what follows rests on a funded live account, whether at 300 dollars or at any other balance: no account was opened and no order was placed for this review.

Advantages:

  • Every account is swap-free automatically on all instruments with no prior application, which makes these among the simplest accounts available to traders who need an Islamic account
  • There are no trading commissions, and the cost is confined to the spread, which starts from 0.6 pips
  • No deposit or withdrawal fees, and the firm states that it absorbs the charges levied by payment providers such as Skrill and Neteller
  • The broker’s own OctaTrader platform is straightforward and suits beginners, with leverage of up to 1:1000
  • Copy trading (Copy Trading) is built in and available directly through the app
  • A low minimum deposit, starting at 25 dollars

Drawbacks:

  • Traders across the Arab region are onboarded through the MISA-registered entity in the Comoros rather than the European entity supervised by CySEC, which is held to stricter conduct requirements
  • The instrument range is relatively narrow, at 277 instruments, next to large brokers that list thousands
  • Withdrawals to Visa and Mastercard are not supported, which forces the use of other methods
  • The spread on the standard account is wider than at some competitors such as Exness and FBS on certain pairs
  • MT4 is absent from the current account range, the broker having moved to MT5 and OctaTrader only

On the terms it publishes, OctaFX is aimed at beginner and intermediate traders who want simple dealing and clear costs with no hidden commissions. It may not meet the needs of professional traders looking for a wide instrument range, or for spreads closer to zero on a genuine ECN account.

Company Information

The OctaFX group was founded in 2011 and began as a forex broker aimed at emerging markets in South-East Asia and the Middle East and North Africa. In 2022 the company renamed itself “Octa”, presenting a more modern identity and widening the scope of its services. It now operates through several legal entities, chiefly Octa Markets Cyprus Ltd in Cyprus and Octa Markets Ltd on the island of Mwali (Comoros).

As of February 2026, Octa advertises more than 42 million open trading accounts held by clients in more than 160 countries. Those are large figures and point to a wide reach, particularly across Asian, Arab and African markets. The company states that it has collected more than 100 industry awards since it was founded, among them Best Professional Trading Platform 2024 from World Business Stars magazine and Best Mobile Trading Platform 2024 from Global Brands Magazine.

Is OctaFX a regulated broker? The question comes up constantly in Arabic search. On the public registers, yes. The firm holds a licence from the Cypriot authority CySEC, a first-tier regulator, and has an operating record spanning more than 14 years; its Trustpilot average stands at 4.1 out of 5 across more than 9,000 reviews. None of that makes trading with the firm free of risk. Between 75% and 89% of retail trader accounts lose money trading contracts for difference, a proportion in line with most brokers in the industry. Anyone wanting to check a brokerage independently can start with the guide to how to spot fraudulent trading firms.

Why Traders Might Choose OctaFX

Several features set OctaFX apart from other brokerages, judged by what the firm publishes about its own service. None of them makes it the right broker for everyone, but they do make it worth considering for particular kinds of trader.

Swap-free trading on every instrument: this is the most distinctive item in the broker’s offer. Unlike most brokers, which require a separate application for an Islamic account or charge an administration fee in place of the swap, every OctaFX account is swap-free automatically on all available instruments. The firm states that no additional charge applies to positions held open for longer than a day, which sets it apart from competitors that levy a disguised administration fee.

Copy trading (Copy Trading): the broker offers a built-in copy-trading service that lets beginners copy the positions of established traders. It runs through the separate Octa Copy app, and traders can be filtered on their historical performance and their risk level. Past performance does not guarantee future results, and copying positions does not remove the risk of loss.

A simple cost structure: no commissions, no withdrawal or deposit fees, no inactivity fee, no swap charges. The only cost is the spread. That simplicity makes it straightforward to work out the real cost of a position without surprises, which is particularly useful for anyone starting out on the basics of trading.

Contests and promotions: OctaFX is known for running regular trading contests on demo and live accounts with cash prizes. Contests add an element of motivation, but they can also encourage risky trading behaviour, so they are best treated with caution.

Negative balance protection: the firm applies negative balance protection to all accounts, which means a trader cannot end up owing more than the amount deposited in the account, even in sharply volatile conditions.

Licences and Regulation

Each licence OctaFX holds can be looked up on the register of the authority that issued it, and as of February 2026 the firm operates through several entities sitting at different regulatory levels. The point that matters most for a trader in the Arab region is that the entity supervised by CySEC (first tier) serves clients in the European Union only. Traders in the Middle East are in most cases onboarded by the MISA entity, registered with the Mwali International Services Authority, which operates under a lighter rulebook.

Legal entityRegulatorLicence numberRegulatory tierServes
Octa Markets Cyprus LtdCySEC (Cyprus)372/18Tier 1Clients in the European Union
Octa Markets LtdMISA (Mwali, Comoros)T2023320Tier 3International clients, Arab clients included
Orinoco Capital (Pty) LtdFSCA (South Africa)FSP 51913Tier 2Clients in South Africa

Is OctaFX genuinely licensed? Yes, and the record is public. The register of the Cypriot authority CySEC (cysec.gov.cy) returns Octa Markets Cyprus Ltd against licence number 372/18. The FSCA authorisation in South Africa can be checked on that regulator’s own website (fsca.co.za) under number FSP 51913. The detailed guide to licences in the trading industry sets out why they matter and how to verify one.

What does that mean in practice for a trader in the Arab region? In most cases the account will be booked with the MISA entity. The Mwali International Services Authority is less well known than CySEC and imposes lighter obligations on the firms it registers, in areas such as the handling of client money and financial reporting. That does not make the broker unreliable, but the supervisory regime attached to that entity is a lighter one than the European entity’s. Checking which register a broker actually appears on is worth doing before any account is opened.

In fairness, the arrangement is not unique to OctaFX. Most large international brokers, Exness and FBS among them, serve clients across the Arab region through entities in jurisdictions that are less demanding than the European regime.

A note on SVGFSA: some older sources state that OctaFX is registered with the St Vincent and the Grenadines authority (SVGFSA). It is worth being precise about this: that authority does not regulate forex or contract-for-difference brokers, and a registration with it does not amount to supervision of trading activity.

Opening an Account and Verification

As of February 2026, opening an account is a short web process. The broker advertises initial registration as taking under 3 minutes: an email address, a password, and a phone number confirmed by SMS, after which the account is created.

Identity verification (KYC) is the next step. The firm asks for a proof-of-identity document, either a passport or a national ID card, and a proof of address such as a utility bill or a recent bank statement. How long the review takes depends on the quality of the documents supplied and on when they are submitted.

One useful detail is that OctaFX permits deposits and trading immediately after initial registration, subject to lower deposit limits, and raises those limits once full verification is complete. That flexibility suits anyone who wants to try the platform with a small amount before committing to it.

Traders new to the market who want to understand the basic steps can turn to the guide to opening a trading account, which sets out the process step by step across different brokers.

The account-opening steps in brief:

  • Visit the OctaFX website, enter an email address and confirm a phone number
  • Choose the platform (OctaTrader or MT5)
  • Upload the verification documents (identity plus proof of address)
  • Deposit the 25-dollar minimum and begin trading

Account Types

After restructuring its account range, OctaFX now offers two main account types, differing chiefly in the platform used. On the broker’s published terms the two are close on spreads and on instrument coverage; the clear differences are the maximum leverage and the platform experience itself.

Maximum leverage1:10001:500

SwapNone (swap-free)None (swap-free)
Best suited toBeginners and casual tradersAdvanced traders and users of technical indicators

The OctaTrader account is built for a simple, direct experience and carries the higher leverage ceiling (1:1000). Its interface is designed to be workable for someone who has never traded before. The MT5 account, by contrast, offers more scope in technical indicators, charting tools and automated trading through expert advisors (Expert Advisors), but its maximum leverage is lower (1:500).

The Islamic account: every OctaFX account is swap-free automatically. No separate application is needed and no religious declaration is asked for. A position held past the end of the trading day attracts no overnight charge and no administration fee in its place. The policy covers every available instrument, currencies, metals, indices and digital assets included, so under those published terms a EURUSD position held open for 5 days would accrue no additional charge. That differs from brokers which levy a disguised administration fee once a grace period has passed.

Whether forex trading is permissible under Islamic law is a question of religious ruling and falls outside the scope of this review. What can be said is that swap-free accounts on every instrument, with no charge substituted for the swap, at least leave the option open to a trader who wants to stay within those constraints.

A note on the older accounts: OctaFX previously offered Micro accounts (on MT4) and ECN accounts. After the restructuring the range was simplified to two. Reviews that still discuss those older types are describing accounts no longer open to new clients.

Fees and Trading Costs

Trading costs are the factor that bears most directly on a trader’s profitability over the long run. The comparison below sets the broker’s published spreads against those of three main competitors: Exness, XM and FBS.

Spreads

On the schedule published in February 2026, the OctaFX spread starts from 0.6 pips on the major pairs at the most liquid times of day, during the overlap between the London and New York sessions. A variable spread widens noticeably when liquidity is thin and around significant economic releases, which is true of every broker quoting a variable spread rather than a fixed one.

The table below sets out approximate average spreads on standard, commission-free accounts for the most traded instruments, against three competitors. The figures are approximate and rest on data published by independent sources during the first quarter of 2026.

InstrumentOctaFXExness (Standard)XM (Standard)FBS (Standard)
EURUSD0.9 pips1.0 pips1.6 pips1.1 pips
GBPUSD1.3 pips1.5 pips2.1 pips1.5 pips
USDJPY1.0 pips1.1 pips1.6 pips1.3 pips
AUDUSD1.2 pips1.4 pips1.8 pips1.5 pips
USDCHF1.3 pips1.5 pips1.9 pips1.6 pips
Gold (XAUUSD)18 cents20 cents25 cents22 cents
Oil (Brent)5 cents5 cents5 cents6 cents

As the table shows, the OctaFX spread on the standard account is competitive on the major pairs such as EURUSD and GBPUSD: narrower than XM on almost every instrument, and close to Exness and FBS. The additional point is that OctaFX charges no commission, which makes the spread the entire cost.

Commissions

The OctaFX policy is unambiguous on this point: no commissions at all. On a OctaTrader account and on a MT5 account alike, nothing is charged above the spread. That simplifies the arithmetic of the total cost of a position, compared with brokers offering ECN accounts at a low spread but with a commission that can reach 7 dollars round turn per lot.

Overnight (Swap) Charges

As set out in the accounts section, every OctaFX account is free of overnight charges: no swap, no administration fee in its place, no limited grace period. The policy applies to every available instrument, currency pairs, metals, indices and digital assets included. Among competing brokers, Exness also provides an Islamic account automatically and without an administration fee, but restricts it to clients registering from Muslim-majority countries rather than offering it to everyone, as OctaFX does.

Deposit and Withdrawal Fees

OctaFX charges nothing on deposits or withdrawals. It goes further and absorbs the fees of payment providers such as Skrill and Neteller, which is uncommon in the industry: under that published schedule a deposit of 100 dollars through Skrill credits in full, with no separate deduction.

Inactivity Fees

OctaFX charges nothing for inactivity. An account left without trading for weeks or months has nothing deducted from its balance. That differs from brokers which begin charging a fee once a dormant period has passed.

Overall Assessment of Fees

Taken as a whole, the OctaFX fee structure is among the simplest and most transparent in the industry: no commissions, no swap charges, no deposit or withdrawal fees, no inactivity fee. The only cost is the spread, which starts from 0.6 pips and is competitive against standard accounts elsewhere. The gap in the range is the absence of an ECN or Raw Spread account with a spread closer to zero, which is what professional traders who would rather pay a commission for a very tight spread tend to look for.

Desktop Trading Platforms

OctaFX offers two main routes to trading on the desktop and in the browser, with a clear emphasis on its own OctaTrader platform.

OctaTrader (the broker’s own platform): this OctaFX platform runs in the browser with nothing to download, and is available as a phone app as well. Its interface is simple and uncluttered, designed to be workable by someone who has never traded. It carries basic charts, a set of the common technical indicators and straightforward position management. OctaTrader does not carry some of the advanced features professional traders look for, though: depth of market, automated trading and the flexibility of advanced charting.

MetaTrader 5 (MT5): the best-known professional platform in trading. It carries a comprehensive technical toolkit, more than 80 indicators, 21 timeframes, support for automated trading through expert advisors, depth of market (DOM) and a built-in economic calendar. Every instrument OctaFX lists, 277 instruments in total, can be traded through MT5.

An important note: OctaFX has withdrawn support for MT4 on new accounts and moved entirely to MT5 and OctaTrader. For a trader accustomed to MT4 who would rather not move, that counts against the broker. MT5 does everything MT4 does and more, though, and the transition is not a difficult one.

A detailed account of the strengths and weaknesses of each platform is set out in the guide to the different trading platforms and how they compare.

Mobile Trading Apps

Trading is now done largely on the phone, and OctaFX offers a proprietary app called TradingOcta (branded Octa Trading), alongside the Octa Copy app for copy trading and the official MT5 app from MetaQuotes. What follows describes the OctaFX app as published for Android as of February 2026.

On the Google Play store the OctaFX app shows roughly 4.6 out of 5 stars alongside millions of downloads, and it carries comparable marks on the App Store store. The app combines trading functions with account administration, deposits and withdrawals included, in one interface.

The app is organised around a single screen. Arabic is supported, positions can be opened and closed quickly, the basic charts are available, and the account can be administered directly from the phone.

The Octa Copy app is dedicated to the copy-trading feature. It lists the performance of the traders available, lets one of them be chosen to copy, and tracks the results afterwards. It is simple to operate and shows enough about each trader’s record: the return, the risk level and the instruments traded.

Alongside the broker’s own apps, the official MT5 app from MetaQuotes is available on both stores. It provides the trading functions and the advanced charting, but not the OctaFX account-administration features.

Available Trading Instruments

OctaFX lists 277 financial instruments for trading as contracts for difference (CFDs). The breakdown below follows the instrument list the broker publishes for the MT5 platform.

Asset classApproximate numberExamples
Currency pairs (forex)52 pairsEURUSD, GBPUSD, USDJPY, plus majors, minors and exotics
Precious metals4 instrumentsGold (XAUUSD), silver (XAGUSD)
Energy3 instrumentsCrude oil (Brent, WTI), natural gas

Shares (CFDs)150+ sharesApple, Amazon, Tesla, Meta, Google, Microsoft
Digital assets30+ currenciesBitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Litecoin, Dogecoin

A total of 277 financial instruments is mid-range for the brokerage industry. Some of the largest firms, IG and Saxo among them, list thousands of instruments; measured against brokers of a similar size and type, such as FBS or FXTM, the selection holds up. For a trader whose focus is forex, gold and the main indices, the range on offer is sufficient and varied enough.

Gold (XAUUSD) is among the most heavily traded instruments on the OctaFX platform, with deep liquidity and a competitive spread. Traders interested in precious metals can turn to the guide to trading gold for the fundamentals of that market.

Digital assets are available in more than 30 currencies against the dollar, a reasonable selection next to most traditional forex brokers. It should be borne in mind that trading digital assets involves sharp price swings and a high level of risk.

Order Execution

Execution quality is difficult to establish from outside a live account, and no order data is presented here. The firm advertises that no slippage occurs on 97.5% of executed orders, which is a high figure if accurate, and it publishes no separate latency target.

On slippage (Slippage), the broker publishes no per-instrument figures. Whether the major pairs such as EURUSD and GBPUSD, or gold, slip in practice is not assessed here. Slippage is at its most likely during sharp volatility, around US economic releases in particular, and that exposure is common to brokers of this type.

OctaFX operates on a market-maker model (Market Maker), which means the firm is itself the counterparty to a client’s position. The model is common among brokers offering commission-free accounts and has advantages, such as fast execution and assured fills, as well as disadvantages, chiefly the potential conflict of interest. Brokers running an STP or ECN model pass orders straight through to liquidity providers instead.

The order types available include immediate market orders, pending orders (Buy Limit, Sell Limit, Buy Stop, Sell Stop), stop loss and take profit. The MT5 platform adds more advanced types such as Trailing Stop, Buy Stop Limit and Sell Stop Limit.

Deposit Methods

OctaFX lists a range of deposit methods covering most of what traders across the Arab region need: cards, bank transfer, e-wallets such as Skrill, and digital assets. The published schedule attaches no fee to any of them.

Deposit methodMinimumProcessing timeFees
Visa/Mastercard card$50InstantFree (OctaFX covers the fee)
Bank transfer$253-5 business daysFree
Skrill$25InstantFree (OctaFX covers the Skrill fee)
Neteller$25InstantFree (OctaFX covers the Neteller fee)
Bitcoin (BTC)Depends on the networkDepends on confirmationsFree
USDT (Tether)Depends on the networkInstant to a few hoursFree
Ethereum (ETH)Depends on the networkDepends on confirmationsFree

The standout point is that OctaFX not only charges nothing on deposits but also absorbs the fees of payment providers such as Skrill and Neteller. On those terms no deposit fee falls due to anyone. The policy is rare in the industry and is a clear advantage over most competitors, which leave the payment provider’s charge with the client.

Deposits in digital assets are available as well, and cover Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Tether (ERC20 and TRC20) and Dogecoin. Processing time depends on the number of confirmations the blockchain network requires.

Withdrawal Methods

Withdrawal methods at OctaFX mirror the deposit methods with one important exception: withdrawals to Visa and Mastercard are not supported. That restriction forces the use of alternatives, whether an e-wallet such as Skrill, a bank transfer or a digital asset.

Can money be withdrawn from OctaFX? And what about the reports of OctaFX withdrawal problems? As of the first quarter of 2026, the broker states that withdrawal requests are processed within 1 to 3 hours in most cases. E-wallets such as Skrill settle fastest on that published schedule, while a bank transfer needs at least 3 business days. How long a particular withdrawal actually takes is not assessed here, and the processing window is the broker’s own figure rather than an independently confirmed one.

Withdrawal methodProcessing timeFeesNotes
Skrill1-3 hoursFreeThe fastest and most convenient option
Neteller1-3 hoursFreeA sound alternative to Skrill
Bank transfer3-5 business daysFreeThe slowest route, but the safest for large amounts
Bitcoin/USDTETHDepends on the networkFree (network fee borne by the client)Available for the supported digital assets
Visa/Mastercard cardNot availableNot availableWithdrawals to cards are not possible

The complaints that surface in forums and on Trustpilot about withdrawals from OctaFX relate in part to delays in processing requests and in part to withdrawals refused on grounds of “suspicious activity”. Nothing in the public record points to a systematic withdrawal failure for a fully verified account operated within the terms of service. The firm replies to 95% of the negative reviews on Trustpilot, which at least indicates that complaints are being handled.

Completing full identity verification before depositing a large amount, keeping a record of every transaction, and using reputable payment methods registered in the account holder’s own name are sensible precautions in every case.

Customer Support

Arabic-language support matters to readers in this region, and what can be established from outside is which channels the broker publishes and which languages it lists for each. Those are set out below as they stood in February 2026. Response speed and the quality of the answers given are not assessed here: establishing either would require contacting the desk, and no such contact underpins this review.

Live Chat: the broker advertises live chat with Arabic among the languages the desk handles. No target response time is published for it, and neither the wait nor the quality of the reply is assessed here. An automated assistant (chatbot) answers first, with the conversation passed to a human agent afterwards.

Email: a support address is published for written enquiries, and the broker lists Arabic among the languages handled in writing. No target turnaround is published for email.

The help centre: carries a substantial set of tutorial articles and frequently asked questions translated into Arabic, covering account opening, trading, withdrawals, deposits and technical problems.

Live chatAvailable dailyAvailable1 to 4 minutes
Email24/7Available4-12 hours
Help centreAlwaysArticles in ArabicImmediate (self-service)
TelephoneNot availableNot availableNot available
Social mediaAvailableAvailableVaries

Support quality at OctaFX is not a scored category here, because scoring it would require contacting the desk. What can be compared is what each broker publishes: Exness advertises Arabic-language support around the clock and XM advertises Arabic-speaking account managers, while OctaFX publishes no telephone line at all and no target response time. As for the “XM scam” query that recurs in Arabic search, XM appears on the public registers of first-tier regulators, and XM, like OctaFX, books clients across the Arab region through an offshore entity. Neither point is settled by the search phrase itself.

Research and Educational Material

The educational and research material OctaFX publishes covers the fundamentals thoroughly and is pitched at beginners, with some more advanced work alongside it. The firm took a best educational broker award for 2023 from Global Forex Awards, which is reflected in the sheer volume of material on the site.

Educational content: the site carries a set of articles and video tutorials covering trading basics, technical analysis, fundamental analysis, risk management and trading psychology. Part of that material is available in Arabic. On the library as published in February 2026, the beginner material is organised in a logical sequence from basics through to advanced, while the advanced content is thinner than what brokers such as IG or Saxo put out.

Daily analysis: OctaFX publishes daily and weekly market commentary through its blog and its social media channels, covering the main market moves and the economic events behind them. Some of that commentary is available in Arabic.

Seminars and events: the firm runs online educational seminars (Webinars) on a regular schedule, some of them in Arabic, covering everything from trading basics through to more advanced strategies.

Analysis tools: the site provides a handful of supporting tools, among them a trading calculator for working out position size, margin and potential profit. These are of most use to beginners.

Taken together, the educational material at OctaFX sits above the average among forex brokers and is a genuine strength of the firm, particularly for traders starting out. Anyone after deeper instruction in financial analysis and its tools would still be better served by specialist educational sources alongside what a broker provides.

Fund Safety and Safeguards

The safety of client money is among the more important factors in choosing a broker, the more so in a market carrying this much risk. The fund-protection policies OctaFX published as of February 2026 amount to several layers, and those layers differ considerably depending on which entity holds the account.

Segregation of client money: OctaFX states that client money is held in accounts kept separate from the firm’s own operating funds, and that this applies across all of its entities. The degree of oversight of that segregation is not uniform, though. The CySEC entity answers to strict European supervision of client-money segregation, whereas the MISA entity, which handles most accounts across the Arab region, is supervised more lightly on that point.

Negative balance protection: OctaFX applies negative balance protection across every account. The firm states that it will restore a balance to zero should it turn negative as a result of sharp market moves, so no liability to the firm beyond the amount deposited can arise.

Compensation arrangements: the Octa Markets Cyprus Ltd entity, licensed by CySEC, sits inside the ICF framework, whose ceiling is 20,000 euro. That entity serves clients in the European Union only. The MISA entity, which handles most accounts across the Arab region, falls under no equivalent statutory framework.

Financial transparency: OctaFX publishes some information about its performance and its client numbers, but it does not publish audited financial statements the way an exchange-listed company does. That is a middling level of disclosure by the standards of the industry.

On fund safety overall: OctaFX is a firm with an operating record spanning more than 14 years, and the CySEC licence adds a layer of credibility to it. A trader in the Arab region should nonetheless be clear that the counterparty will be the MISA entity, which operates under a lighter regime than the European one. That does not in itself mean client money is at risk, but the regulatory framework around that entity is narrower than the one applying to an account held directly under CySEC or FCA.

The Verdict

OctaFX is a simple, easy-to-use broker that suits particular kinds of trader, with some important reservations to weigh before an account is opened. What follows summarises the position as the broker published it in the first quarter of 2026.

Who OctaFX suits:

  • Traders starting out who want a simple platform and clear costs with no hidden commissions
  • Anyone looking for an account that is swap-free automatically on every instrument, with no separate application and no administration fee
  • Traders interested in copy trading (Copy Trading) as a way of learning from more experienced traders
  • Anyone wanting to start with a small amount (25 dollars) at a broker that charges nothing on deposits or withdrawals

Who it may not suit:

  • Professional traders looking for ECN accounts with a spread closer to zero and a commission instead
  • Anyone who wants to trade as a retail client from the Arab region under a strict European regulatory regime
  • Anyone who needs a wide instrument range, running to thousands of shares, funds and bonds
  • Anyone who would rather withdraw directly to a Visa or Mastercard card

The common concerns, addressed:

On the “Is OctaFX a scam?” question that recurs in Arabic search: on the public registers, no. The firm has operated since 2011, holds a CySEC licence, which is among the stronger European authorisations, and reports more than 42 million trading accounts. None of that means every dealing with the firm will go smoothly, and none of it means trading with the firm is free of the risk of financial loss. Between 75% and 89% of trader accounts lose money trading contracts for difference.

On “Is OctaFX banned in Saudi Arabia?”: the firm is not licensed by the Saudi Capital Market Authority (CMA), and no international forex broker currently holds a domestic Saudi licence. That does not make trading unlawful, but it does mean dealing with an international firm outside the reach of Saudi domestic supervision. On telling reputable firms from fraudulent ones, see the guide to fraud in the trading market.

On “OctaFX withdrawal problems”: no systematic fault is evident in the public record, though some traders do report delays in particular circumstances, most often where identity verification is incomplete or where unusual trading activity has been flagged on the account.

The overall picture is of a sound choice for beginners and casual traders, on the strength of a simple cost structure, the absence of commissions and accounts that are swap-free by default. Several areas need work: the breadth of the instrument range, the absence of ECN accounts for professionals, the inability to withdraw to a card, and the depth of the published Arabic support offering, which includes no telephone channel. The broker reviews index is the place to compare it against other options before a decision is made.

Frequently asked questions about OctaFX

Is OctaFX licensed and trustworthy?

Yes. OctaFX (Octa) holds a licence from the Cypriot authority CySEC (372/18), which is a first-tier regulator, and a licence from FSCA in South Africa (51913). Traders from Arab countries, though, are in most cases onboarded by the MISA entity in the Comoros rather than by the European one. Any licence can be checked directly on the relevant regulator’s own website.

What is the minimum deposit at OctaFX?

The minimum deposit is 25 dollars by bank transfer or e-wallet and 50 dollars by Visa or Mastercard. Both sit within reach of most traders starting out.

Is an Islamic account available at OctaFX?

Yes. Every OctaFX account is swap-free automatically on all available instruments. No separate application is needed and no religious declaration is asked for. There is no administration fee in place of the swap and no limited grace period, and the policy applies to every client regardless of country of residence.

How long does a withdrawal from OctaFX take?

Withdrawals through e-wallets (Skrill and Neteller) are normally processed within 1 to 3 hours. A bank transfer takes 3 to 5 business days. OctaFX charges nothing on withdrawals at its own end, and withdrawals to Visa and Mastercard are not possible.

Which platforms are available for trading with OctaFX?

OctaFX offers two platforms: OctaTrader, its own, which runs in the browser and as an app, and MetaTrader 5 (MT5). MT4 is no longer available on new accounts. OctaTrader suits beginners with its simple interface, while MT5 suits more advanced traders with its fuller analytical toolkit.

Is OctaFX suitable for beginners?

Yes. OctaFX is among the more suitable brokers for a beginner, given the low minimum (25 dollars), the absence of commissions and hidden fees, the straightforward OctaTrader platform, the educational material and the copy-trading service that allows learning from more experienced traders. The high leverage available, up to 1:1000, needs care, though: it can multiply losses for a beginner who has not grasped risk management.
